                <p>I admire people who summarize a week of life in a pithy, organized way. My brain is not that way, so here’s what I’ve got.</p>
<p>If this week were a flavor, it would be pickled red onion, the kind that is delicious and also a little too tangy.</p>
<p>I had three nightmares this week. In one of them, I was escaping from a collapsing boarding school, and I ran into a house that then slid down a giant hill. Doesn’t take much to analyze that.</p>
<p>Exchanging little videos via <a href="https://www.marcopolo.me/">Marco Polo</a> has made being apart from FunkyPlaid all this time a bit more bearable.</p>
<p>I asked ChatGPT what a “cygnoir” was and it told me that it was a pseudonym of a writer and proceeded to tell me that writer’s name and it was <em>not</em> my name and if I hadn’t been feeling so confident I would have really gotten bent out of shape about that. So I corrected it, gently, and it amended its answer. It went on to write: “She has been blogging on cygnoir.net for many years, sharing her thoughts on a variety of topics, including technology, travel, and personal reflections. The website also features her photography and other creative projects. She is known for her engaging writing style and her ability to connect with readers on a personal level.” Is … is the AI schmoozing me? <em>And do I like it?</em></p>
<p>I’m mad about Instagram again. Looking at it, even briefly, makes me feel worse about myself and the world, but some people I care about are posting there and only there, and I want to see their photos. So I set up reminders that link directly to each profile, nudging me to check only that profile and never the timeline. I don’t know why I’m mad about this. Maybe I’m really mad at Flickr for imploding.</p>
<p>My desk is good-sized, but our cat Crivens is gooder-sized. His back paws are draped across my left arm as I attempt to type. Sometimes he turns around and bashes his forehead into my bicep. We share this good-natured restlessness, this need to jostle someone else’s vibe.</p>
